A note on project sharings:

We are really sorry to say that our 2026 Final Project Sharings are now completely full - before we even had the chance to open bookings to the public!! 

We prioritised places for our current students, their communities and our Still-Curious alumni, and the response meant that every spot was taken almost immediately! 

While we know this will be disappointing and frustrating for those who were hoping to come, we also feel incredibly heartened as it shows us that people really want to see this work, and that the community around puppetry continues to grow.

If you were hoping to catch some new puppetry, please keep an eye out for our annual Curious Puppets Festival at the Rosemary Branch this November, where our alumni present new original work. It’s the next opportunity to see a programme of exciting puppetry from us!

It also feels important to acknowledge that two major national puppetry festivals - Moving Parts Arts (Newcastle Puppetry Festival) and Beverley Puppet Festival - have not received Arts Council funding this year and as a result will not be able to happen. At a time when demand for puppetry is clearly there, it remains a difficult moment for the presentation of the form.

So we’re asking: how do we advocate for the artform? Which venues and partners might join us in with long-term commitment - helping to create more spaces where puppetry can be seen, supported, and celebrated? How do we keep creating opportunities to present work independently and from the ground up? 

With our growing network of artists, students and audiences - and in dialogue with other puppetry organisations - we’re excited to keep imagining what comes next.
